It depends on the policy. Many policies cover theft from a locked vehicle but may require visible signs of forced entry, or apply conditions when tools are left in a vehicle overnight. We'll explain the conditions on each option so you know where your tools are covered.
Premiums are generally based on the type and replacement value of your tools and equipment, where they're kept and used, your claims history and the excess you choose. Listing high-value items separately can also affect price and cover.
Often, yes. Portable tools and equipment cover is commonly available as part of a business or trade insurance package, alongside public liability. We can quote it on its own or bundled with your other covers.
